TWTotal Wealth TaxTax-First Advisory

Tax-First Wealth Management

Tax decisions and investment decisions — coordinated, not siloed

We do not guess. We review the documents, propose, and implement. Total Wealth Tax Advisory is the CPA firm; Total Wealth Services, LLC is the SEC-registered investment adviser. Two teams, one relationship — so every financial decision is evaluated through a tax lens before it happens.

The Integrated Model

Two firms. One coordinated relationship.

Most clients work with a CPA for taxes and a separate advisor for investments. The two teams rarely speak. We built Total Wealth Tax Advisory to fix that.

Total Wealth Tax Advisory is the CPA firm — tax advisory, tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, CFO services, and IRS representation. Total Wealth Services, LLC is the SEC-registered investment adviser, with client assets custodied at Schwab and financial planning at the center of the practice.

The two teams share a client relationship. When the investment side is considering a portfolio change, the tax side is already at the table. When the tax plan calls for a Roth conversion or a change in distributions, the investment side adjusts accordingly. Neither side makes a unilateral decision that surprises the other.

Total Wealth Tax Advisory

CPA / tax advisory

Our CPA firm. Full service — tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, CFO support — but the focus is proactive tax advisory throughout the year.

Total Wealth Services, LLC

SEC-registered investment adviser

Our investment firm — a registered investment adviser, with client assets custodied at Schwab. Financial planning is the cornerstone of the practice.

Investment assets custodied at Charles Schwab & Co.

Client assets are held in accounts at Schwab — not at the adviser. You retain direct access and full transparency.

Our Services

Advisory. Compliance. Accounting.

Three categories, one relationship. Each category reinforces the others — the advisory plan informs what the return reflects; the return confirms what the books show; the books make the quarterly projections reliable.

Year-Round Strategy

Advisory

Tax planning that happens before the year closes

Tax strategy is decided before December 31st — not on April 15th. Our advisory practice runs on a quarterly cadence: income projections, entity-structure reviews, retirement and compensation planning, and guidance on every financial decision with a tax consequence. For companies that need more, CFO Services adds projections, cash-flow visibility, and board-ready reporting to the relationship.

Accurate Filing

Compliance

Returns that reflect the plan — prepared by credentialed professionals

Every filing is the conclusion of a year-long process. We prepare and e-file federal and state returns — individuals, S-corps, partnerships, C-corps, trusts, and multi-entity groups — ensuring complex forms like brokerage statements, K-1s, and real estate schedules are handled correctly. When IRS or state notices arrive, we review what is actually being asked and respond on your behalf under power of attorney.

The Foundation

Accounting

Clean books and compliant payroll — every month

Accurate financials are the foundation of accurate tax projections. When the underlying accounting is current and correct, strategy becomes reliable rather than theoretical. We handle monthly bookkeeping, S-corp payroll coordinated with reasonable-compensation planning, and accountable-plan reimbursements — so the numbers you share with us at every quarterly review are the numbers that are actually happening.

How We Work

Document-first. Proactive. Year-round.

A brief look at what the engagement actually looks like — from first conversation to ongoing quarterly partnership.

01

We start with the documents

Every engagement begins with a document review — your last two returns, entity paperwork, and investment statements. We do not guess. We review the documents, propose, and implement.

02

A quarterly planning cadence

We meet on a quarterly schedule. The worst case: we break the news in November or December. The best case: we change the outcome. Either way, you are not surprised at tax time.

03

Tax and investment decisions coordinated

The CPA firm and the RIA share a client — not a handoff. When an investment decision has tax consequences, both sides know about it before it happens, not after.

Our Platform
